JIRS LP series has two independent models: LP21-4040 (4-inch commercial) and LP22-8040 (8-inch industrial).

These low-pressure RO membranes feature stable salt rejection and high water output, efficiently removing salts, colloids and organics with low energy consumption.

LP21-4040 fits small & medium water treatment equipment, while LP22-8040 is designed for large industrial pure water and bottled water plants, widely applied in drinking water, food, electronics and chemical industries.

1. Product Introduction

JIRS LP series low pressure reverse osmosis membrane elements are developed for brackish water desalination. Featured with low operating pressure, high permeate flow and stable salt rejection, the membranes can efficiently intercept dissolved salts, TOC and SiO₂. With consistent performance, they are widely applied in pure water production for power, electronics, chemical, drinking water and other industries, delivering lower energy consumption and better long-term cost efficiency.

LP22-8040 (High-flow Industrial Model)

  1. Industrial pure water production for power, steel and chemical industries
  2. Desalination for bottled water, centralized commercial direct drinking water

LP21-4040 (Medium & Small Commercial Model)

  1. Production of bottled water, direct drinking water and food processing water
  2. Purified water for pharmaceutical, medical and electronic ultra-pure water systems

3. Standard Performance Specification

Test conditions: Operating pressure 225 psi (1.55 MPa), 2000 mg/L NaCl solution, temperature 25℃, pH 7.0 ± 0.5, recovery rate 15%. Permeate flow of each element allows ±15% variation.

5. Storage & Operation Important Instructions

  1. Factory Preservation
     

    Dry membrane elements are shipped without preservation solution. Wet elements are vacuum-packed with 1.0% sodium bisulfite preservation solution; 10% propylene glycol antifreeze is added in winter.

  2. Long-term Storage Rules
     

    Dry membranes must be kept wet after initial soaking. Wet membranes need to be soaked in dedicated preservation solution during long-term shutdown to avoid membrane drying and failure.

  3. Initial Flushing Procedure
     

    Flush at low pressure for 15–25 minutes (overnight soaking is forbidden), then flush at high pressure for 60–90 minutes with flow ≥50% of system design flow. All permeate and concentrate water produced within the first hour of startup shall be drained completely, not recycled.

  4. Warranty Terms
     

    This product comes with a 3-year standard warranty, valid only if all operating limits and guidelines in this document are strictly followed. Any chemicals harmful to the membrane are prohibited during storage and operation. JIRS shall not be liable for damages caused by improper use.

  5. Supplementary Notice
